Nirvana Reunites With Four Female Vocalists

Posted Friday, April 11th 2014 @ 8am

Nirvana was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on Thursday night.

As expected, they were joined on stage by Joan Jett.  Jett, bassist Krist Novoselic, drummer Dave Grohl, and guitarist Pat Smear performed the band's seminal hit, Smells Like Teen Spirit.

But, Nirvana was also joined by three other women.  Sonic Youth's Kim Gordon performed Aneurysm with the band.  St. Vincent played Lithium and Lorde sang All Apologies.

R.E.M. front-man Michael Stipe inducted the band.  Grohl, Novoselic and several women from Kurt Cobain's life were on stage.  His widow Courtney Love was there as was his mother and sister.
