Foo Fighters front-man Dave Grohl is working on a documentary about the studio that changed his life. Nirvana's legendary 1991 album, Nevermind, was recorded at Sound City Studios. Several other albums from many other heavy hitters were recorded in Sound City.
Grohl has worked with former Nirvana bandmate Krist Novoselic, Slipknot/Stone Sour front-man Corey Taylor, guys from Ratt, and many others for this project. Now, Grohl has posted a letter describing the film.
