With mixed emotions, I announce that today is my last S.H.A.T Report. I have been so lucky to work with such an amazing group of people who have helped me grow and develop the things I need for my career in this industry. I'm moving on to do things I have set out to do with an open mind, a positive attitude, and skills that have been graciously taught to me by these amazing guys! They will forever be my mentors and friends...... Now that my sad speech is over with ...here is this weekend's SHAT.
Thursday, head over to TWC Arena for the NASCAR Sprint Pit Crew Challenge at 7pm. it's $15 and up so head on out! The Whitewater River Jam starts back up for the summer at the US National Whitwater Center. It starts at 7pm with musical guest Overmountain Men, and it's FREE!
Friday LIVE at the Factory is this Friday with Cowboy Mouth from 6 to 11. Tickets are $5 in advance. Race weekends have officially started, and it starts with the NC Education Lottery 200 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. The Charlotte School of Rock presents Monsters of Folk at the Visualite Theatre and after them is the Talking Heads Tribue, Same As it Ever Was. The show starts at 9:45 and is $8 in advance.
Saturday is not ONLY the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race at the CMS, it's also the Blondes vs. Brunettes Powder Puff Game at Revolution Park from 12-4. Watch the girls rough-house as they raise money for the Alzheimer's Association. Check out Food Revolution Day/Race City Festival from 9 to 3pm in downtown Mooresville. Chef Troy of Fox News Rising will be hosting a local food tasting, and local farmers are donating locally grown/raised food that Chef Troy will prepare for the free tasting in the Motown Spice Provisions booth. Thrice is playing at the Fillmore with Animals as Leaders for $25.50 at 8pm. XTreme World Wrestling presents Blood, Sweat, and Tears from 1- 6:30pm.Come out and enjoy the best pro-wrestling in the Carolinas! Meet and greet with Barbarian Get an autograph! Admission is $8 advance/$10 day of show. The Pretty Things Peep Show is at Neighborhood Theatre at 9pm. Tickets are $10. This is a unique blend of sexy circus sideshow stunts as well as burlesque and vaudeville acts in a new genre of entertainment called "BROADVILLE."
Sunday, Check out Sun Dried Vibes, Of Good Nature, and Treehouse at the the Chop Shop. Then, The Charlotte School of Rock Presents The Chronicles of Pink Floyd at 1pm. Tickets are $10 at the door. Make sure you check them out on Saturday night.
