Guys (and gals) listen up, Valentine's Day is tomorrow. If Chubby from the Charlotte Checkers can brighten someone's day, so can you!
So watch and take notes! Don't let your loved one down!
Yes, the football world has their touchdown dances and moves, but the football world cannot hold a candle to anything on the hockey world.
Check out these smooth moves.
1st up: KHL's Llya Yezhov. Sign him up for a spot on my dance card please.
2nd up: Matt Duchene & Paul Stastny of the Colorado Avalance and their "Bang Bang" Victory Dance
3rd up: San Antonio Rampage's Jacob Markstrom killing time while waiting for glass to be repaired.
4th up: Hockey fans will recognize the moves. This is QC Flames' Eric Nystrom's Striptease
5th up: Finally up is possibly the greatest hockey music video of all time from the Belfast Giants and their performance to "All I Want For Christmas Is You."
Blog inspired by Greg Wshynski's post here
Watch this video of an ice hockey rink collapasing in Námestovo, Slovakia. The roof of the rink couldn't support the weight of snow and collapsed.
Former Florida Panthers right wing, Richard Zednik, and young hockey players were training on the ice just before the accident.
I knew the news I had seen scroll across my Twitter feed would be devastating & that it would crush Woody & Wilcox's hearts.
Their man crush, Jon Matsumoto, from the Charlotte Checkers had been traded to the Florida Panthers in a deal between the Carolina Hurricanes and Panthers.
I fowarded the info to them and Wilcox replied back with "Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!"
Not an email I want to see on a Thursday morning of course.
Here's the deal for the trade that happened last night: The Canes aquired Evgenii Dadonov & AJ Jenks from Florida for Jon Matsumoto & Mattias Lindstron.
A little info on Dadonov: 22 yrs old, 5th season of pro hockey, played in 15 NHL games & 20 games with the AHL this season, drafted by the Panthers in the 3rd round in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
A little info on Jenks: 21 yrs old, in his 2nd pro season - splitting the year between the NHL, AHL, & ECHL, selected in the 4th round of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
I will miss seeing Matsumoto on the ice for the Charlotte Checkers. He was a player to watch, but I also look forward to watching the new boys. Good luck to Matsumoto and good look to Dadonov and Jenks.
Woody & Wilcox, sorry I had to be the bearer of bad news.
