Evanescence has a dark sound so it was only fitting that they were the first band to go on at Carolina Rebellion after the sun went down. Once she hit the stage, Amy Lee staked her claim as the queen of hard rock.
Before their set, Amy and drummer Will Hunt sat down with Woody and Wilcox. Amy discussed how she handled the dusty conditions. The other female fronted band on the bill, Halestorm, also came up. On Lzzy Hale, the other female singer at Carolina Rebellion, Amy Lee says:
"She has a beautiful voice...We've been a couple of festivals on this run, actually and I've never see her live before, I've heard their music. But, I went and checked her live to see if this is the real deal. She is the real deal. She has a voice like power. She's powerful."
