Soul Asylum achieved success in the 1990s with albums like Grave Dancers Union and Let Your Dim Light Shine. Some categorize Soul Asylum as a "one-hit wonder" but, they had hits with other songs like Misery and Black Gold. But, Runaway Train, and its music video, proved to be one of the biggest and most influential songs of the early 1990s and it won a Grammy for "Best Rock Song" in 1994.
Front-man Dave Pirner and lead guitarist Dan Murphy stopped by 1065 The End to play a few of their songs and a pretty interesting cover of another one. Check out photos here. Their new album, Delayed Reaction, will release in July.
