NATHAN RICHIE

ON THE AIR AND STREAMING
I crank it to 11 (one louder) every weekend to generate love for the New Rock.  You can catch me fillin' in for ROZAK during the week too, whenever the hairy little monkey needs a break from the stress of the "job".

Sunday nights from 10 PM to Midnight I host a show called "END SESSIONS" - nothing but live and acoustic favorites from the artists you love...from rockin' venue shows to intimate in-studio performances recorded right in the 1065 GREENROOM .
WHAT'S ON YOUR MIND?

James Lipton:  What is your favorite word?
Nate:  Perseverance

James Lipton:  What is your least favorite word?
Nate:  Can’t

James Lipton:  What turns you on?
Nate:  Accomplishing what I thought I couldn't

James Lipton:  What turns you off?
Nate:  Rudeness and lack of kindness

James Lipton:  What sound or noise do you love?
Nate:  Talented musicians and their instruments.

James Lipton:  What sound or noise do you hate?
Nate:  Vibrating windows and car parts at a stop light.

James Lipton:  What is your favorite curse word?
Nate:  Would have to be F#@k!

James Lipton:  What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?
Nate:  I'd love to be the host of the show "Dirty Jobs", the one Mike Rowe does.  *CLICK HERE to see what my real job is.

James Lipton:  What profession would you not like to do?
Nate:  I'd hate to have to regulary do the majority of jobs I've always seen on the show "Dirty Jobs" with Mike Rowe.  Some look pretty cool, and I'm no priss - I'll bust my ass if I have to, but some of those...in the cold rain or extreme heat either standing around, working in that crap...I think, “Man, I’d hate to have to work in that sh%t”.  I respect that they do it -somebody has to, but I’m not envious that’s for sure.

James Lipton:  If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates?
Nate:  Yeah, sorry Nate…they blew me a bit out of context...over exaggerated it a bit.  Don't work in mysterious ways, don't know who's naughty and nice...have no wrath...can't claim all those miracles either.  Care for a beer?

NRthought: ROCK THE VOTE!
Thursday 08-14-2008 1:41pm ET

It's gonna happen with or without you.  Like they say, if you don't vote you can't bitch about the outcome or about what's not getting done to make this country better...

Who's it gonna be... Obama or McCain?

Obama's talkin' a good game but shy on experience...and neither has a plan other than "it's time for change" - duh!  McCain has old school experience, but he's a Washington insider.

Welcome to American politics.

Your vote may very well sway it.

Get the facts.  Get educated.  Rock the vote!

NRthought: Give A Pint
Thursday 08-14-2008 1:58pm ET

Did it again...

I get calls from the Red Cross all the time.

They're in need for your blood.

I almost died back in 2000 on Father's Day weekend.  I spent a week in ICU while the doctors poked, prodded and searched for the reason.

I was taking a lot of Ibuprofen for a shoulder injury I sustained being a weekend ninja.  Apparently the Ibuprofen parked itself in my lower colon and burned a hole at a major intersection and I nearly bled out.

Thank goodness for doctors and the craft they know.  Thank goodness for technology.  Thank goodness for the 6-7 pints of "A-negative" blood they had on hand to replenish my loss.

It took awhile, but I finally began giving that gift of life back by donating to the Hurricane Katrina call.

You never know when you may have something quirky happen and you or your family may need blood.  There's really nothing too it - virtually painless and worth the time.  If you haven't done it yet, STEP UP.
