Huh?  You don't know what T.U.I is?  Well it's quite simple actually. T.U.I. is "Tweeting Under the Influence".   And yes it is a serious problem.  Oh, you've done it - you just haven't been caught ------yet.

While I am strongly opposed to Government controls, some of us (yes me) need to be managed.

Just like if you get a DUI - some states require that you install a device that measures your Blood Alcohol content before your engine will engage. Perhaps the same logic/restrictions should be levied on our personal computers. You know to prevent us from hitting the "send" button with total disregard for the consequences of our actions.

Had I been saddled with that requirement, the April Fools debacle from last week would not have occurred.  Now, I'm not blaming it ALL on alcohol - there is a certain level of stupidity that I clearly own.

It's not like I set out to do something stupid. It clearly seemed like a good idea "at the time". None of us intentionally do stupid things, do we?

So there I was....relaxing on Thursday the 29th.  Yep, had a few Southern Comforts and thought. "...hmmm - maybe I will pretend that this Ssssunday's sssshow (slurred even in my mind) would be the last. That would be an awssssome April fools prank"  Let me text that now.

PC on? - Roger
Twitter open? - Roger
Type message - Roger
Hit send - D'oh!

Now if my PC had a breathalyzer installed - preventing me from texting. All would have been ok.   None of this would have transpired.

Of course if you are not buying this....I can always blame Al Gore for inventing the internet
