Garbage was one of the bands at the forefront of the alternative music movement of the 1990s.  For years, the band was on hiatus and had been very quiet.  They are back and will play at the 2012 End of Summer Weenie Roast.

Not Your Kind of People released on May 14.  It is the band's fifth studio album and their first since 2005.  Since that time, the band has occasionally played together, but members have mostly worked on separate projects.

Drummer Butch Vig produced albums for Green Day and Foo Fighters.  Vig, who may be best known as the producer of Nirvana's Nevermind album, is also working with Dave Grohl on a documentary the famed Sound City Studios where Nevermind and other famous albums were recorded.

Worldwide, Garbage has sold over 17 million albums.  The band recently talked about their current album with Yahoo! Music.
