Like Ron Burgundy, Our Lady Peace is kind of a big deal. The alternative rock band has sold out millions of albums worldwide, collected four Juno Awards and won ten MuchMusic Video Awards (thats the most MMVAs award to a single artist). Now they will grace the stage at the 2012 Weenie Roast.

OLP is also riding the wave of their new album Curve, released on April 3, 2012. Their leadoff single, Heavyweight, is about a former boxer who after his career faces an even bigger opponent. Drawing off the lyrics, I'm assuming OLP is alluding to war with lines like "cherry bombs," "safety suits," "parachusets," and "fire." For all you literature scholars out there, it reminds me of the famous Ernest Hemmingway's The Sun Also Rises... but anyways back to Wennie Roast...

Somewhere Out There, off the album Gravity, is one of OLP's biggest hits. The song landed the number 7 spot on the U.S. Billboard Modern Rock Tracks in 2002. Even more impressive, the song was featured on  Now That's What I Call Music! 11. You know your song is a hit when its lands a spot on a Now CD.
