Switchfoot released their eighth studio album, Vice Verses, in September of 2011.  The band has consistently released new material since the late 1990s, but really broke through into mainstream success in 2003 with the double platinum selling The Beautiful Letdown.  But, Switchfoot's next release will be a little different.

In an interview with Jack Daniel, the band discussed Fading West, a surfing documentary that is expected to footage of the band.  Front-man Jon Foreman says it is, "somewhere between Rattle and Hum and [The] Endless Summer," referencing the 1988 U2 album/documentary and the 1996 documentary about the travels of two California surfers.

Switchfoot, equipped with several radio hits, delivered a crowd pleasing set at Weenie Roast.  See photos of the band's performance here.
