Charlotte's own Paper Tongues played to a hometown crowd at Weenie Roast on Sunday.  The band is finishing up an EP that they hope to release soon.  They are releasing it on their own, but with help from manager Bill McGathy.

Part of Paper Tongues' goal is to go international.  According to front-man Aswan North, McGathy believes the band could have international crossover success.  But, for the band, their goal is to make the best music possible because, as Aswan puts it, "there's no faking the funk."
